Law for Change is a student club from the University of Canterbury. The club was running a Charity Gala to support a local charity, the MĀIA Health Foundation, to fundraise for an outpatient facility for youth mental health in Christchurch. Synergy Hair happily supported by donating a gift pack for their raffle.
We met Braxton through the Synergy Hair Netball League, she played for the Marvels in 2022. This year, she has left the league in pursuit of new and exciting endeavors – one of those being a Miss Rotorua Contestant. Synergy Hair is sponsoring her journey through support with their raffle. We donated a Biolage Gift Set for the raffle evening.
This Lower Hutt school is raising money to build a flying fox for the kids to enjoy. Synergy Hair donated a System Professional gift set to raffle at their quiz night. We can’t wait to see the kids having fun with their new flying fox!
Synergy Hair happily supported the U18 Netball Champs Spin to Win event, hosted by Celebration Box, by donating 20 Tangle Teezers! It turned out to be an absolute blast, and we couldn’t be happier supporting these young athletes!
This local dance school reached out on behalf of a team of 20 dancers, fundraising for a trip to America with She Shines On dance tours. This is an amazing opportunity for young talented dancers to take classes with some of the world’s best choreographers. Synergy Hair donated a set of Osis styling products to auction at their fundraising evening.
NSU host an annual Quiz Night Fundraiser, which is their biggest fundraiser of the year! This is a great community event to go along to; it brings together over 160 people in Auckland to support the local teams. Synergy Hair donated a Joico Gift Pack to be included in one of their raffles.
We are all about supporting local sports teams! Sport not only promotes physical health and well-being but it also develops a sense of unity in the community. We donated one of our Synergy Hair Netball League balls to the Hornby Netball Club this year, as well as some gift packs for their quiz night. Go Senior B team!
Margaret kindly reached out again this year for support for her ‘Paint Orewa Pink’ lunch. Pink Ribbon lunches serve as a powerful platform to raise awareness and rally support for breast cancer research and initiatives. So we love to get involved wherever we can. Synergy Hair donated an Angel Gift Pack, which she added to her amazing raffle of goodies.
Dress for Success is a fabulous organisation that provides work-appropriate clothing, a network of support and career development tools to women looking for work in the community. Synergy Hair donated haircare samples for women who come in wanting to get set up for a job interview. By helping women look and feel their best, Dress for Success provides them with optimal conditions to flourish and seize new opportunities.
This is the second time we have been involved with this fun learning environment. The Little Adventurers’ Family Playgroup is a place where families of children aged 0-6 can come and create new friendships alongside other families within the community. Funding is limited so this group relies on community support to stay running. This year Synergy Hair donated a Wella Gift Pack to their fundraising night.
Holly reached out to us asking for something to donate for her Pink Ribbon raffle at her workplace. This one was very close to home for her, with her friend Geneva suffering from Breast Cancer, with less than a year left to live. Synergy Hair donated a Moroccanoil Gift pack to raise funds for Breast Cancer NZ. Great job on smashing your target Holly!
Huggable Hearts is a non-profit charity that provides families who have lost a baby or child with a heart shaped keepsake that is weighted to their angel’s birth weight. Andrea organised a special Mother’s Day event to recognise mums who have lost their babies and & to connect them with others who are on similar journey. Synergy Hair donated a box of Eleven Miracle Mask Treatments for their goodie bags. This is such a lovely community event, thanks Andrea for reaching out.
The mighty U11 Warriors were fundraising to get to the Junior Rugby Festival in Queenstown. Synergy Hair donated an Angel Men’s Gift Pack and a Wella Gift Pack for their raffle & bingo night. We love to support young kiwi athletes, all the best for the festival!
This fantastic event draws over 150 attendees from a multitude of different Wellington businesses. Guests hear from two key New Zealand Businesswomen on current issues facing business today, share their own experiences before continuing to network and enjoy lunch together. At the event all guests receive a goodie bag which has a variety of different products/ vouchers from businesses around New Zealand. This year Synergy Hair donated samples for the goodie bags, and a Ghd Helios Hair Dryer for a raffle.
Rebecca, Bridget, and Hannah are actively promoting awareness for children with disabilities through their inspiring efforts. They have collaborated to create a captivating children’s book featuring a dinosaur with Cerebral Palsy, aiming to educate and engage their community. Furthermore, they have organized a raffle evening to raise funds, and Synergy Hair contributed a Wella gift pack to support their cause. Well done, girls.
‘One Mother To Another’ provides care packages to mums who find themselves going through a difficult time in hospital with a sick child. Synergy Hair donated a whole lot of makeup/toilet bags with shampoos and conditioners to this wonderful organisation to support these mothers. Toiletries are the last thing on these mother’s minds so its great to be of help during a stressful time.
Heather and Sonya are an incredibly hardworking duo who have made a significant impact over the span of 11 years by raising nearly $60,000 for Breast Cancer NZ. As a contribution to their cause this year, we donated a Moroccanoil Gift Pack, which they included in their raffle event. We commend these exceptional ladies for their outstanding efforts and applaud them for their remarkable achievements!
Annabelle, Natasha, Emma and Ophelia have started up an innovative business group called Kaha Cups. Kaha Cups is committed to producing 100% reusable ‘iced coffee’ tumblers made from stainless steel. These contain no single-use plastic and are BPA free. Synergy Hair donated a Nak gift pack to their raffle, to help kickstart their business idea.
The Pink Ribbon Morning Tea has been an annual event in Palmerston, Otago for the past 9 years (raising over $35,000 in total for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ). Their aim for this year’s 10th anniversary appeal is to raise $10,000. We donated a Nak Gift pack to be raffled on the day and 200 Gift Vouchers to include in the popular pink bags that are sold on the day. They raised over $14,000 from the event! The funds raised will go towards funding incredible research projects and support services available for breast cancer patients.
This year, Margaret is coordinating a Pink Ribbon Luncheon in the Orewa community to raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation. We donated a gift voucher for Margaret’s fundraising raffle. Pink Ribbon registrations this year are down 32% so we have made a conscious effort to show our support for all the Pink Ribbon community events who have approached us.
During this years Synergy Hair Netball League (SHNL), we relied heavily on talent ID umpires from our watchlist to standby in case a member of our national squad went down with Covid. In total we had watchlist umpires reserve 18 SHNL games and stand by for 5. One was called in last minute to reserve and two of them needed to umpire three games. The watch-listers aren’t remunerated in any way so we gifted them each a Synergy Hair Gift Voucher to say thank you for making the season such a great one!
The Bloom Collective is a small business made up of a group of Year 13 Villa Maria College students participating in the Young Enterprise Scheme. They create a range of sustainable wheat bags with an attachable strap for discrete everyday wear to ease period pain. The aim is to raise awareness about issues related to endometriosis. We donated a Nak Gift Pack include in their raffle to raise funds for their project.
The Community Shave is a fundraising event for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer NZ to support patients, and their families/whānau, living with a blood cancer or a serious blood condition. The Papanui Community Shave event was held in Farmers in the Northlands mall this year. We donated a Cloud Nine Original Iron to get raffled off on the day to support this amazing cause.
Alana hosts a Pink Ribbon Breakfast in her community every year to raise funds for research & development at the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. It’s a great event in Whitianga with bubbles on entry, speakers, raffles & goodie bags. We donated a Nak Gift Pack for her raffle and 100+ gift vouchers for her goodie bags. She well-exceeded her goal and raised a whopping $10,550! Well done Alana & her team!
The Little Adventurers’ Family Playgroup provides a safe, friendly & fun learning environment where families of children aged 0-6 can come and create new friendships alongside other families within the community. We have donated a Nak Gift Pack for their online raffle to raise funds for arts n crafts, morning tea & cleaning supplies and other ongoing costs needed such as toys/expenses/repairs. The playgroup prepares children in their community for Early Childhood Education System with Te Whariki as their guideline.
The Addington Magpies team were looking for fundraising support to help with fees, gear and player of the day awards. We have donated a Nak Gift Pack to raffle in their Quiz Night Fundraiser, which will be a fantastic night for anyone in the area! Go Magpies!
Every year the Wellington Chamber of Commerce invites women in the Wellington region to join us in celebration of International Women’s Day. This year we have donated a Ghd Helios Dryer to give away on the day and vouchers to go in the goodie bags. This will be a great event filled with inspirational speakers and helps businesswomen to develop strong a network in their community.
Pink Ribbon Breakfast is the biggest fundraising campaign of the year for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. Leanne was diagnosed in February 2020, at 31 weeks pregnant. 6 days after her emergency c section she had a mastectomy, and her breast was removed. She has since been through 6 months of chemotherapy and 25 brutal rounds of radiation. Her tubes, ovaries and second breast were removed. We donated a Wella Gift Pack this year raffle off at her breakfast event, at which she raised $5,000. She has raised $20,000+ for the Breast Cancer Foundation over the last 2 years!
Endometriosis Awareness Month happens in March. The Endo Warriors Aotearoa have a support walk around the Wellington waterfront to raise awareness. Endometriosis is an extremely painful condition affecting the uterus of roughly 1 in 10 women in New Zealand. We donated a Wella Gift Pack to give away as a spot prize on the day.
